Birmingham, Ala.-  William Carey University men's and women's track & field got their inaugural season underway on Saturday as they competed in the 2013 Southern Invitational hosted by Birmingham Southern College.

LAWRENCE, Kan. Oklahoma City University received an at-large bid to compete in the NAIA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 23 at Rim Rock Farm. The Stars, ranked No. 16 in NAIA women's cross country, earned their first berth to the NAIA Championships after tying for second with No. 19 Texas Wesleyan at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships Saturday. Fellow SAC teams Oklahoma Baptist and Texas Wesleyan will join OCU in the field at the NAIA Championships.
