OLOWORA OF OCU WINS SECOND STRAIGHT NAIA TITLEPublished by
VANCOUVER, Wash. Aminat Olowora of top-ranked Oklahoma City University took home her second straight NAIA women's cross country individual title Saturday at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. Olowora, a senior from Lagos, Nigeria, ran the 5,000-meter race in 16 minutes and 50 seconds 30 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The Stars finished with 137 points for third place, putting them on the podium for the first time in school history. OCU had two runners receive all-American honors for finishing in the top 30.
